Wed night what did you eat today

Today and tomorrow are rest day since I have a big race coming up on saturday. 25 k trail race. It will be first time doing trail racing but if I like the course than I will be going back next year to do 50 k.

B banana and a protein shake

s plum

lunch went to the pita pit with a friend and had the chicken breast with lots of good vegetables

d 3 tablespoon of pasta and 4 chicken wings

s apple pie greek yogurt

Hello highlandbear, that is an amazing amount of exercise, good for you.  Stayed on track today except my calories are still too low.  I am eating well it just does not seem to ever even get close to the 1200 cal minimum my nut says I should be getting.

b - gnc strawberry protein shake, decaf coffee

s - 1/2 p28 protein bagel, 1./2 cup of fresh strawberries and mangoes chunks

l - cheese string, inside of half a ham and cheese wrap

s - decaf coffee...later...packet of almonds on the bus

d - p28 protein bagel toasted with tomato sauce, garlic powder, and plenty of parmesan petals (this was really nice)

s - 1 cup frozen mixed berries

all water and vits.

The first few years I did not come close to the 1200 mark but over time it does get easier.Your food looks great and what you are eating is healthy stuff which is so important. the most important question is how is the energy level.

Energy is better since I added some fruit and legumes,dizziness seems better too.  I just worry I am screwing up any remaining weight loss by doing that.  I am trying to be careful with quantities but carbs of any kind are just so freaking addictive!

I have learned the hard way when I would not do carbs and I was working out and I was trying to do a run on the treadmill and I was having so much trouble trying to run. My trainer came over shut down the treadmill and told me to get off and go home and eat some healthy carbs and if not don't come back. The word is healthy good carbs. Your body needs it. Just like a car needs gas to run while your body needs good carbs to run. I did not but the weight on from eating good food. It was the wrong food that I started to eat that put some weight on. I want to lose 20 but have been told only 10 now. 20 would make me to low. When I look at the book I was given from my clinic it does not say we can not eat fruit. In fact it says when we can start to have it. I was once told when you shop in the grocery store if stick to the outside isles than you are eating healthy. It is when you start buying from the other isles you have to watch.

I hear what you are saying about eating good carbs.  I was keeping my carbs under 50, I have upped to 70 and it has helped.  Too many carbs can cause weight gain regardless of the source, so its hard.

Just remember eating to much of anything will cause weight gain. It is about amounts and control and my trainer always say nothing after 8 and if you really need something after 8 nothing more than 100 calories

Good morning Barb and Zizzler.   Great Jays game last night!

B guess what?  Greek yogurt and protein cereal

S turkey pepperette 

L clubhouse wrap. Ate 1/3 of wrap and then the guts. Had a few French fries

D 1 chicken taco just the guts and a few bites of Caesar.

I am so glad that I can not do deep fried foods. Fries were my weakness and I know i could be in trouble if I could eat them now. I have not had fries for almost 6 years. Nothing deep fried.
