I know this sounds awful and judgemental but I wouldn't go on vacation to Mexico, let alone have a major surgery there.  For me, I need to have the follow-up and know that I am good hands.

yes,it is awful and judge mental and you don't even know what you are talking about.

How is that? I am not comfortable with Mexico. My mothers friend and her husband were murdered there and nothing was done except many police cover-ups. So no, I wouldn't set food there and would not have my surgery there.

I also would not give up the after care that I have had here in Canada for anything.

If that is something you chose, good for you. In my opinion it isn't a decision I would make for myself.

And to add to it, to claim I don't know what I am talking about insinuates that I gave an actual opinion or recommendation on the procedures there, which I did not. I never claimed to know anything about it because it isn't an avenue I would take.

Perhaps you don't know what you are talking about?

how is that? I was simply agreeing with your statement that YOU MADE saying maybe it was sounding awful and judge mental.

Ppl get murdered whenthey go where they should not. If ppl stay where their surgeon tells them to stay, they are perfectly safe.

I totally know EXACTLY what I am talking about. I have had 4 surgeries and numerous dental procedures and have never felt un safe.

I think I am far more qualified to make a judgement than someone who has not been there and done that.

I know lots of people do but it isn't for me. She was asking for opinions :)

Relax everyone, I was just asking for opinions etc. She gave me hers and I appreciate it, to each their own, right?!

I was just being hasty and silly, but you are right also in the fact I should be near my surgeon afterwards.

thanks

Mexico has some bad reps however check into Dr. Alvarez! He is totally amazing! Might even change your mind. He is a top bariactric surgeon and even holds an award that only himself and 10 others have in the world! He has written books and has tons of YouTube videos plus thousands of testimonials. People from all over the world go to him for wls. For follow-ups back home you should have a dr? He also follows up with you! You are not forgotten after surgery ever and he has support groups as well!
