Good morning everyone.  Barb hopefully your game with improve up north.

I go to sleep with the window open and feeling hot, and wake up with the blankets tucked up high under my chin feeling cold.  It feels like soup weather in almost here.  Anybody have any good soup recipes they like to make in the crockpot?

Today it's swimming, yoga, household drudgery and an early night.

I'm not a crockpot girl but just about any soup can be made in there.  I made a bit pot of minestrone the other day and my son made the same recipe as me but in the crockpot.  I leave the pasta out and I add in some meat.  No fat other than from the meat if you decide to add it.  It's really good with italian sausage meat thrown in or heaven forbid grill up steaks like I did and throw them in lol Mine is really thick and ended up adding a bit more water, broth and red wine to thin it out a bit but did it at the end. If you want the recipe let me know.

Have a safe trip and hope the trees have started to turn as they haven't started here or in North Bay yet.  I thought the maples and oaks would have by now but son said nothing yet.  They will be turned by the time I go in October :)

I have heard that from a few people - I was looking forward to golfing with the colors.  Usually by thanksgiving they are beyond peak - I guess they are going to be late this year.

It should be perfect by the time you go - hope so!

Peak in North Bay is Thanksgiving then they start falling off shortly after but the best fall pics are taken that weekend there every year.  We have a few yellow on the birch but nothing too colorful yet.

We plan on being there for 5 or 6 days so hopefully we will see some change in color.  By thanksgiving the golf course is busy - September we usually have the course to ourselves and its golf mecca for us.

Regardless, I am looking forward to a few days of just the two of us...
