Good Morning Everyone!

I haven't been posting, have been having some difficulty planning ahead.  I do log in mfp everyday though.  Numbers have been ok.

I found out last Thursday that I was going to have the surgery on my leg this Wednesday.  So it has been crazy cancelling and re-booking things.  I also found out at my pre op testing Friday that the surgery is 3 hours, and an ICU stay post op.  I was shocked.  I thought it was a fairly easy surgery.  And now, I have had some issues with my lungs over the weekend, and I am just awaiting word from the surgeon, whether the surgery will go ahead.  I just can't believe that all this crap is happening to me.

B- two scrambled eggs.

L- homemade beef vegetable soup, 1 and half cup

D- not sure yet, but protein

S- GNC shake (love them)

Not sure what what my numbers will be, Only at 380 calories now and 44 protein.  May have to add an extra protein shake to up my numbers.  Not really feeling much like eating.

Hope everyone has a great Monday, bye for now

Thank you.  My husband went and got me some GNC rtd shakes.  I plan to take some to the hospital with me.  The food is actually not bad at Southlake and it is pretty easy to eat protein forward, and leave the rest.

Judy don't worry about being in ICU after surgery.  They will keep a good eye on you there.  Wishing you good luck on Wednesday and a very speedy recovery.

The surgeon cancelled my surgery for Wednesday.  He thinks I am not well enough.  I need to take some time to get myself better.

Thank you all for the well wishes.

Sorry to hear that it was canceled, how disappointing.  Keep up your healthy eating and self-care and I am sure you will be ready before you know it.  Did he give any specific recommendations such as vitamins etc.?  Sending you a virtual hug.

Morning everyone,

Lots of folks up and posting early this Monday... I am dragging my ass! Didn't post yesterday as my mother in law was in town all weekend and we wound up going to the Polish festival in Roncesvalles - and I paid for my lack of being prepared, I didn't eat or drink nearly enough.

Today I have a mess of appointments including my 3 month follow up. Time is flying by. Funny how it seems to go in slow motion when we are pre op.

3 months post op

B premier protein shake

S Decaf coffee with cream

L tuna salad, avocado, cucumber

D leftover 'naked' fish burrito

S greek yogurt and blueberries

Good morning all,

I usually swim today but not sure I will have the time or energy. Ended up doing a lot of walking plus biking plus gardening. Sore and tired this morning. Also woke up at 1:30 am for 1.5 hours. I am not paid enough for the amount I worry about this job. The mismanagement of the conference we are having is just unbelievable. Fortunately reading puts me to sleep.

Made stew this morning for the crock pot so at least dinner is ready when I get home. Ended up going out to dinner last night so left overs for lunch. My freezer is packed with meals I made but need to finish this first.

Interesting article in the Star this morning about work at Ryerson on the calories we should eat.

b greek yogurt, fiber1, peach

s

l left over turkey wrap without the wrap, left over salad, yogurt

s snap peas

d beef and barley stew with carrots, salad

s SF puffing

Have a good day everyone
