Stay strong, it is all with it. If you don't already try adding ice and/or less water to make a frosty or pudding type thing. Feels more solid, like a treat. If permitted try adding plain unsweetened baking cocoa powder, it makes it less sweet tasting. You are right it makes meal planning easier, that is for sure!

Good morning everyone. Had my 1 year but and psych appointment at my centre yesterday. My nut told me to eat more carbs, at least 90 net carbs per day, and to increase my calories to 1200 minimum. She thinks this will help with the dizzy spells, also supposed to up my salt intake. We decided I would eat more legumes and fruit to increase the carbs healthfully and with minimum cravings. As for calories I am usually getting between 750-900 at the most, going to add more nuts and seeds. I find it really confusing and hope I dont go overboard on the fruit, I really like it. Going to make a big pot of onions and lentils tonight, a favourite. At 161lbs she told me I do not need to lose any more but I would like to lose another 15 to get to regular bmi if possible. Going to very slowly and cautiously up the carbs and sodium and see how it helps.

Glad you had a good appointment yesterday. I find it so funny that all the different bariatric centres have different benchmarks for how many carbs/calories /etc. Im surprised there aren't studies that are used that can point to the most successful way of eating after WLS.... I think it can be confusing for people. Zizzler sounds like you have a good handle on how to introduce those cals.
