What are you eating/doing today? (Wednesday)

Good morning everyone.  I woke up at 1:30 so let's hope I can get back to sleep for a few hours or my day is shot.

Today I will be swimming, then yoga, yard work, and general household cleanup and meals.  Yesterday I made Italian Chicken Meatballs in Marinara in the crockpot.  They were good, but DH won't eat anything in a tomato sauce so it means that I will have at least another 3-4 meals of meatballs.  After WLS I really have to want something in particular to commit to that many meals of one particular food.  I hate to waste food so I end up with a freezer full of leftovers.

1 year 1 month post op

B. Large Fit Frappe Protein Vanilla Latte.  It's nice and hot and I'm drinking it now

S. Iced decaf before swimming

S2. After swimming and before yoga, a Ciao Carb Protein cookie (orange covered in chocolate)

L. Beef fajita with fresh salsa and a little LF sour cream.  May just have the fajita innards, I do have low carb wraps but they are pretty filling

S. Skinny decaf latte

D. Chicken meatballs in marinara sauce with some sauteed zucchini "noodles".

S. More of what I had for dinner.

Have a great day everyone, and as Betony said yesterday, tell your family you love them.

Wishing you good luck with your continued "moving project", Barb - I know what a stress moving can be, even it it's not necessarily your own. ;)

Nice menu, I love those salmon burgers.  Wish I could get my protein numbers that high.  I am trying to balance keeping my calorie count lower, and protein high.  Why can't the scientists create a really low calorie protein  wishful thinking I guess.

Your pouch will mature eventually so that you can eat more protein - a blessing and a curse

You will notice that almost my entire menu ( other then the jello and asparagus) is protein centered.  Keeps me full and keeps my protein numbers up

Morning all,

CC, hope you got some more sleep - running on a couple of hours can't last. Your lunch sounds fabulous :)

Off to work in a few minutes. I am more than slightly overwhelmed at the moment with my unexpected additional work load (and assignment due by midnight - ugh). The prospect of the next 5 days have me mentally repeating the message posted on my fridge: "Never give up, no matter how much 'you've got to be ******g kidding me' life throws at you." I think I'll take it off my fridge and post it in my office. lol

Breathe - and project yourself to the weekend.  Always helped me when I felt extreme stress

Good luck with everything
