My orientation is this week...

Hi everyone! I have my orientation in Windsor this week and was wondering if anyone who has gone through the Windsor clinic could give me some idea of what to expect. My family doctor wasn't sure about the process. In fact, it was because of a post here in this forum that I was able to give him the info on how to submit an online referral.

I guess what I am wondering is if it just be an info session only or should I expect to get some more info about future appointments etc.

Thank you for your help! This forum has been a great source of info and support in making the decision to pursue the surgery.

Hi Becky,

The orientation is approximately 2 hours long and at the end you have to tell them if you still want to move forward. After that you will get an appointment to see the nurse which I can't remember how long that takes.

Hope this helps

I had my orientation in January in Windsor.  At the end of the session they gave me my next appointments which was in March.  I didn't have any of my appointments on the same day but I used the 2 hour drive as time to think enjoy my own company.  My husband couldn't go too all of my appointments.

Thank you! I really appreciate the information. It is amazing how little my family doctor knew about the program.
