Hi group.
Thank you for your response. I just need the extra help I guess. I've tried on my own and feel like I'm failing.
If I don't do it now...I don't even want to think where I'll be at 10 years out, heck even a year.
I am going to talk to my husband and I'm pretty sure I'll be joining. He's very supportive.
Thank you once again, xo
I think you and I are along the same wave lengths right now.
I am about 19 mths post op and those thoughts are creeping back onto my head. I'm around 140ish and so afraid to gain. I had a injury this summer and couldn't work out and I gained 2-3 lbs and it really bummed me out.
I guess the honeymoon is over and the real work begins now!!!
Yes we are so close. Your 2 days after me. I am so sorry to hear about your injury and that you too are starting to struggle.
I have been struggling for the last few months. It's not getting easier so here I am again asking for others thoughts on joining WW. I know I can't do this alone.
If you'd like to share emails or cell numbers to text to support one another I'm so up for that. If not I understand that as well.
I wish you all the best that you can get past the struggle. I wish this for us both.
Take care
Kim xo
It is my understanding that you need to be at least 15lbs overweight to join WW. Even at 140lbs you might still not be overweight enough to join. However, if you're interested in the meetings (I've been a member since 2011, I really like the support from the group), give your local WW a call and see what they have to say.
Thank you for responding. Because of my height 4'11, I am eligible to join. My healthy weight range with WW is 99 to 124 pounds. I did the free assessment on their site.
Your statsHeight: 4 ft, 11 in
Weight: 140 lb
Healthy weight range: 99-124 lb
Current BMI: 28
Healthy BMI range: 20-25

I by NO MEANS want to go that low. That is insane. The goal weight I had in mind before I even had surgery was 123 which put me in a healthy BMI range. But my surgeon told me he didn't want to see me any lower than 125 as I would likely become sick and malnourished. So I chose 127 as that was 100lbs lost from the start of opti.
I am still so proud of how far I have come. SW 227 CW 140
Starting BMI 45.8....NOW 28.
Now it's time to continue the journey I started almost 2 years ago.
Posts like this from the vets makes me realize how much of a lifelong goal this will be. At only 9 months out it's easy to forget that this phase will pass and that it will not always be so easy.
