What are you eating/doing today ( Thursday)
So tomorrow is your 1 month eh? Well happy early surgiversary to you. I have to eat a peach before the Ontario ones are gone out of the store, have not had a fresh peach in over 2 years now so its about time. I have found it hard to buy Ontario peaches in bulk, they have all been in huge cartons and that is too much peach for me to eat before they go bad!
Good morning Barb and all. Dinner sounds great. Celebrations are fun. Bike home today. I really need to do some shopping for my snacks and meals. Fridge is definitely getting empty. For the summer I had bought some small premade meals. Stats aren't great but thought they would help if I didn't eat the meals provided by Panam. I did use them a few times but am stuck with a bunch. So I will slowly making my way through them.

Good morning everyone,
So this is what they mean when talking about 'hormone dumping'. My poor husband, I am just the worst person to be around right now. It's been about a week of erratic moods and it's strange because I'm normally a positive person. Onward. ..

Hey Roma, hang in there with the hormone dumping. Once your body adjusts you should be back to normal. I still get this but not as extreme as I was the first 6 months or so. It felt like I was a different person entirely, it was truly awful. Exercise helped a lot with this, especially lifting weights got my anger out. I was told this is normal by my centre due to hormonal changes in the body, knowing that really helped. One nice thing I noticed each time I had a hormonal dump was I would have a nice chunk weight loss afterwards, so watch for that, it might be sort of a light at the end of the tunnel. Also try writing out your feelings and getting enough sleep. See your centre if it gets too extreme, mine offered me medication and counselling to help through the roughest time. Sending you a big hug, it will get better and you will feel normal again!
Thanks very much Zizzler. I accept your virtual hug!
It does help to know that it's a normal process, and a part of this crazy WLS thing! REALLY glad that I had read about it on the forum here before it started up so that I was prepared for it. I feel like it's probably something the clinic should have told us about.
I do hope I experience the same weight loss drop as you have after this bout of it, that's a nice little reward for going through it. I'm going to do a bit of writing my feelings out tonight and see how it goes.
It really is too bad that your centre does not tell people about that, it is really common. The crying for no reason was hard, especially when it happened at work, I cried in the bathroom a few times, a couple of times I had to leave work and go home it was so severe. And then the next day I would feel normal again, like it never happened. It was upsetting for sure, thought I was losing it completely. Hope writing out your feelings helps, it has helped me many times. Hang in there, let us know how you are coping...
Good morning everyone. Late posting today, kind of a lazy morning for a change. I have my 1 year appointment with my nut and my social worker today, so I will be at my centre later on. Not sure I have anything to discuss really, things seem to be going ok. One thing I would like to mention to my sc is that I am realizing more and more the role that my mental health has played in my weight gain, and how important it is to stay on top of that in order to be successful in the future, even with my tiny tummy.

s - 1 scoop of Magnum protein powder made into a pudding, it was yummy. A friend gave me it to try and it is really nice, though expensive!
l - 1/2 p28 bread slice with tuna salad in it, cucumber slices, later...sf fruit punch
s - 1/2 simply bar while at my appointments, will get an xl decaf at Tim Horton afterwards
d - leftover meatballs with sauce and parmesan petals from yesterday. looks like I am in meatball leftover mode too CC, I ended up making all 60 and freezing them with sauce and parm for lunches. I noticed I can eat 7 meatballs, is that normal? I have not had them in a while but used to eat 3.
