Thanks for the travel tips - I'll be staying at the Marriott Executive Inn in Mississauga as they have suites with kitchens next week so that is going to be helpful, I can bring food from home. The following week will be a bit more difficult as I'll be right downtown and the hotel I use (Holiday Inn on Carlton) isn't as well equipped but they do have fridges LOL.

the goal will be to take everything I can with me vs. eating out if possible.

Thanks again for the advice, appreciate it.

Bob when you go to the hotel tell them you need a fridge for medication. That way you can bring Greek yogurt turkey pepperettes maybe some hard boiled eggs to snack on. Almonds were also my go to in the early days. I'd buy the box at Costco and they were individually packaged. I would also drink straight cherry juice that you can get at a health store. It works miracles on gout. Senokot s I found worked best for constipation. Maybe look at orthotics for your shoes. Good luck!

hmmm  I never thought about bringing hard boiled eggs and and turkey pepperettes.  I tried the cherry Juice this week, it seems to be helping - thank you for that!

I'm not sure about the gout pain, but stalls I'm beginning to be an expert in LOL. I even posted about one of mine as well. It couldn't seem possible that I would not lose when I was eating not more than 700 calories a day. It was driving me nuts. Anyways I will tell you that the constipation is also the culprit. You have to get things moving again to see the scale move. Might want to call your doc to see if there is anything else you can do for the constipation.

I was so excited this morning when I got to do the Poopy Dance for the second day in a row with out even pain - I never thought I'd be so excited to poop LOL.  I feel you are right because now I am more "regular", It seems the scale has moved a bit so that's a great thing!

Thank you!

lax-a-day or restoralax in liquid worked for me, had to take it every day for the first 6 months or so, then gradually weaned off.  Our centre recommends that one as it does not produce a dependence.  You do not want to let the constipation get too bad, it can be super painful.  I too have done the poopy dance, it is a beautiful thing indeed :0)

Hi Bob,

I hear you on the 3 week stall, it sucks.  Mine started at 2.5 weeks and lasted well over a week.  Finally started to shed again, so chin up!

Sorry to hear about the gout pain, hopefully it's getting better!

I'm back to work today, so we'll see how that goes.

Talk to you soon,

Tom
