Victories
Scale and non-scale victories since my surgery in May 2015
- I am now overweight
- I am lower than my lowest adult weight
- I am 2/3 of the way to my goal
- Shopping is delightful. The most fun is not buying things even though they fit because they aren't my style. For so long, I've bought things just because they fit and weren't horrible that it is wonderful to have choices.
- I'm wearing size 10-12 pants and XL shirts from 18 and 3X. No more plus sizes
- Not many people have said much about the weight loss but I get a lot of compliments about my appearance in general
- I played the rest of the soccer season without having an asthma attack and was able to keep up better
- I walk the 50 minutes or so home from work most days
- I joined the gym and am starting personal training next week
- I took a picture of myself and didn't hate it and I look in the mirror and don't feel self-loathing
- I saw an article about an annual bike trip along the waterfront trail for a week and decided that I want to do it next year so I am going to work towards that goal
- I have more confidence than I've had in a very long time
I'm sure there are more but that's all I can think of right now. The whole thing is an amazing experience!
That's a great list and so inspirational to those of us still dealing with the same things! Good luck on the rest of your journey and hopefully you'll have many more victories!

That is an AWESOME list !!!!!!
It really puts into perspective how silly a number on a scale is......when these things are truly the ones that make us happy and matter the most !!!
Keep up the amazing job, and keep adding to your list!
