disapointed and frustrated regarding Finch Site

good day,

As I posted last month asking info on bariatric support group in the Toronto region, someone replied that Finch Site - Toronto was having a support group meeting but I was refused since I did not have surgery in Toronto and Im + 5 years post op. The social worker @ finch site had no problem with me attending (session was from 630pm-830pm) but she had to have the approval from her manager, and she denied me. I had RNY in 2009 in Long Island NY. Is there anywhere else I should turn to have the authorization of myself attending any bariatric support group?

I would think any support groups run by the centres are for their patients only.  Why not attend a support group that is run by OH members.  I see you are from Kap and I know they have one in Timmins if you are ever there.  In the Toronto area, there are a few that get posted here by members. You'd have to keep an eye on the posts and see when they are holding them and where.

there is one in timmins but the meetings are usually wednesday... its hard when my work achedule is monday to friday. ill keep my eyes open ;)
