Hi Everyone

7 weeks post-op and I am not feeling hungry a lot, I force myself to eat something... Is this normal?

Thanks B

This happens a lot.  Don't worry about it.  Just keep a schedule and measure/log your food.  And keep drinking water.

Like Cathy said...all perfectly normal.  Use this time to let your brain get used to not dictating when to eat (head hunger).  For many people even at a few years out we don't feel hunger like we used to - if we are honest with ourselves.  Eat right & by the clock is solid advice.

Thanks Ladies,

I have been just eating a lot of protein as this is the only thing I can get through.  I eat veggies second and don't really feel like carbs much.

That means you are following the plan right.  Just make sure you get your levels in.

I'm in week 8----  I am typically not hungry very often either.  I try to have something every couple hrs though, even if its just little.  I rarely eat things other than protein as well, so I think that helps keep us full and not craving.

One of my old bad habits was not eating often.......but  then eating huge quantities at once.  So I am very mindful to avoid that behaviour now !!

I have days like this too at over a year out, I just make sure I get my protein, vitamins, and water in.  I find protein shakes really help on those days, it's easier to drink them than to eat dense proteins.  When I was early out I would add plain protein powder from the bulk barn to my foods to boost protein, I still do sometimes.  Maybe some sf pudding made with protein powder added?  Or soup?
