Hi, Does anyone take Omega 3 pills. I have trouble swallowing large pills or taking liquid medication. I am 1 yr and 4 months post op.

I purchased Mega Red Omega 3 Krill oil softgels. Not sure if I can take them though.

Does anyone else take softgel Omega 3 pills?

I have taken softgel omega 3. I am not sure how much is actually absorbed though. I don't even think the doctors know for sure how much is absorbed by WLS patients. I do know that about an hour after I take it, I get that fishy taste.

Referral to Guelph Feb/13, Sleep study and all bloodwork and ultrasound May/13, orientation July/13. Nurse, NUT,SW Sept/13, 2nd NUT, nurse and SW, 3rd round and cleared for surgery Dec/13. Pre-op Apr 7/14, Surgeon May 2/14, Opti Jul 3/14, surgery Jul 17/14.

Hey Kelly I have been taking a omega 3-6-9 softgel capsule before bed every night since 2 months post op, centre said it would be ok. It is a pretty big softgel but never a problem. I heard that esoteric? Coated Format is not good for is, it's sort of like extended release. If you are not sure you can always ask the centre. I do feel it makes a difference getting those healthy oils but it's true we have no way to know how much we absorb.
