Olives, pickles...when did people start including them in their diet post surgery? That tapenade made my mouth water!!

Honestly I dont remember when I added pickles to my ham roll ups.  I would guess once you can eat solids and have few problems with most foods

I love olives and capers - they add a lot of flavor for a small amount of calories

I added them in after my three month post op appointment -- the dietitian wanted me to increase my salt intake to help with low blood pressure. I started adding raw veggies around the same time (similar texture).

I love my fitbit Pat.  I really find it motivates me to move.

Take it easy with the sciatica eh?  I hate when it feels like I am paralyzed on one side from it.  Very  painful

Good morning everyone. My throat is maybe a little less painful this morning than yesterday morning, so that is something.  Thank you to everyone for the well wishes and tips, its really helpful and comforting :0)  Yesterday all I ate were a couple of gnc protein shakes, chicken soup with fresh ginger and a clove of garlic added every 3 hours, and p28 toast with nsa jam.  Also had some sf orange koolaid and Tylenol cold and flu.  At least I got my protein in and some calories.  Today will probably be similar foodwise.  Activity wise I will be sleeping when I get tired and watching tv when I am up.    Yesterday I watched all 4 terminator movies, there was a marathon on amc.  Also watched a lot of The Incredible Dr. Pol, great show.  Today they are having a matrix movies marathon so I might partake in that.  Hope everyone else who is sick is hanging in there.  We will kick this thing's butt!
