wait time?

I finally got my referral done with my doctor.

how long did everyone have to wait to hear from their hospital?

My referral was made Sept 2014, I heard back from the hospital (TWH) late Nov 2014 and Orientation was Jan 2015.

My referral was done end of October 2014 heard from Humber in February 2015 orientation was in March 2015..

Hello, I hope for your sake you aren't going through Humber or you've got quite the wait ahead of you. Although I'm trying to make the best of it, it's frustrating. 

My doctor referred in January 2015, I got a package in the mail in March with an orientation date for April 20th. Since orientation I've not received any additional dates. 

Good luck on your journey....do you know which hospital you will be at? It goes based on your address. 

I hear Humber has ridiculously long wait times. Talking to people not too far from me I think I may go to Western, but won't know until the mail comes. 

I have heard you can transfer hospitals if you have a preference ... Just a suggestion if you want to cut a little waiting time

How can one transfer? I'm also at Humber.

My referral was July 2014 and finally orientation August 2015 - they 'lost' my referral. it's been a month and a bit since orientation. in the orientation they said 4-6 weeks we should get a call to start booking appointments. it's been 5 so I called them. I was told that they are just booking the people that attended the end of March. So basically I wont get a call to start appointments until late January.

I would love to switch if that was possible and get things moving - especially since they already wasted a year of my time! any tips? Would I have to start at the bottom again?

I did my first referral in the fall, heard nothing for a couple months then I had the info session in April and just got a call to meet Dr Klein for November 12 and the new location. Very frustrating that it takes soooooo long.   So it's been a year with really no movement

Referral April for me. Orientation July. I will have had three appointments already as of Monday! Just a few more to go!
