Sustained Release SR drugs

hi everyone,

hope all are well. 

My pharmasist who is new to be switched my Premarin to a SR version.

i seem to recall this isn't optimal for wls patients.

any info is appreciated.

Hi Sunny,

As far as I remember, SR meds don't stay in our bellies long enough to work as they are intended to.  I'd ask to go back to the non- SR meds.  I'm not sure if Premarin is an exception or not.  You can call your clinic to confirm.

I still take Wellbutrin, 150mg twice a day, it's continued to work well for me even though it's extended release.

Starting weight: 334 lbs.Starting opti weight: 323 lbs, Surgery weight 303 lbs.Surgery-May 21st, 2013 with Dr Hagen at HRRH Goal weight 165 lbs reached at 13 months. Current weight 156 lbs
