Morning all :)

Barb, your lunch and dinner sound SO GOOD to me right now! And Happy New Year to you - you've got this.

I think I may almost be over this cold/infection (almost) finally. It certainly knocked me on my ass for the past week and a half and I managed to pass it to Andrew. We were quite a ball of excitement on the weekend. lol Off to work for day 1 of crazy 'til mid-December, have to hit up the coffee store to replenish my stash, we seem to be out of everything (aka bare fridge) so a stop for a few groceries on the way home. Other than that, studying/assignment writing.

9.5 years post-op

B - GNC Total Lean (Swiss chocolate)

S - muffin-tin crustless quiche

L - homemade chicken salad, carrots, pepper slices, and 3 melba rounds for dipping

S - ham/cheese/pickle roll-ups (2)

D - BBQ burger all the fixings no bun

Have a good one,

K. :)

The chicken isn't one of my favorites but I remember making it when I was early post op.  VERY filling so I will eat it whenever hungry for the next few days.  Once I get past 3 days I am usually good to go.  Conversely - once I get off plan I am OFF...ughh

Karen-I'm glad you're feeling better! I plan on eating eggs every way including the crust less quiche once I start on soft foods! And I feel like pickles should be considered a soft food...I want a pickle/meat roll up so badly! Will settle for a meat and cheese one on Thursday.

I had planned to enjoy eggs as a post-op too. Then my RNY reality hit and I tossed them back up every time I ate them. lol Eggs and I had a terrible break-up for 5 YEARS - now I love them again, but it was a long time coming!

Good morning everyone.  Glad to hear that you are feeling better Karen, sorry that Andrew caught your cold.  Feed him lots of chicken soup.

Had a fantastic mini-break this past weekend.  There was some walking, but not as much as I would have liked.  We got home late last night so I will be dragging my ass most of the day.  It was a long drive.

Today it's swimming, and some general cleanup and unpacking.  Let this be known as the week of using up leftovers in the freezer and fridge.
