So Tired is the normal?
Had surgery July 29. Everything has gone smooth and great. No food issues, or intolerances. Feel good other then I am soooooo tired all the time. Is this normal? I know it hasn't been that long, but I just feel like I should have more energy? This heat doesn't help. .I take all my vitamins, and no meds adjustments. Losing weight at a descent pace. Tow of the main incision points are almost healed but still a little weepy but not infected. I just want to know if what I am feeling is normal or weird. Thanks to all in advance! Have a great long weekend.

I'm almost 6 months post-op and still waiting for the energy to come. I discussed with the nurse practitioner at my appointment last week to make sure my blood work was normal.
Have you called your centre to double-check with them? Perhaps there is something low in your blood. But it could just be your body healing slowly. It was a pretty major surgery as the NP reminded me last week.
Enjoy your long weekend as well!

Holy Smokes! I've lost 100 pounds from my heaviest weight! Yay me!!!
I'm 8wks out. I have also had no sickness or intolerance or food issues. The first few weeks I had a ton of energy. The past 3-4 I find I get really tired in the afternoon and I have NEVER been the type to require a nap. I am sleeping well in the night. Wondered if maybe I wasnt eating enough. My family dr randomly requested some bloodwork last wk- said he'd contact me if he saw anything of concern.....havent heard from him. I'm glad he did as my bariatric clinic doesn't run blood for 3mths. I just think my fatigue is based on my low caloric intake. ( and I'm sure this heat doesn't help matters)

I was the type that could survive on 5 hours a night, no problem. The first few months were hellish for me.. I needed naps after work plus 8+ hours of sleep a night. Now, I'm fine without the naps but I do need to maintain a decent sleep schedule. Every week that passes should get better, though, just make sure to stay hydrated.
