Optifast
grrr trying to get ODSP to help pay for optifast is like pulling teeth any suggestion on getting them to pay for it seeing how its not covered and needs to go through a pharmacy ?????
Referral: May 22, 2013. Kingston got paper work: June 18, 2013. Orientation package received: Aug. 12, 2012. Orientation at HDH: Aug. 28, 2013. NP #1 visit & blood work: Sept. 13, 2013. Abdominal Ultrasound: Oct. 2, 2013. Dietitian/SW: Oct. 16, 2013. Sleep Test: Oct. 23, 2013. Sleep Test Results: Nov. 12, 2013. Dietitian/SW visit #2: Dec. 9, 2013. Opitfast Sept 22nd, Surgery Oct 6th
I'm NOT losing weight. I'm getting RID of it. I have NO intentions of finding it AGAIN!!!

I didn't think it's covered by any plan. I believe they mentioned that in our orientation...that's the one guaranteed cost we would have prior to surgery.

Hmm. I have seen a couple of people, quite some time ago, try to get assistance with paying for Optifast through ODSP, but I do not know of anyone who actually received it. I believe you're on your own there.

Some of the stuff on eBay is not the optifast 900. I have a friend who bought some there and it was the optifast 800 and the centre wouldn't allow it as it isn't the same stats.
