Recent TWH patients, quick question

I had surgery on June 12, 2015 at TWH.   I did not have a catheter.  Before walking into the O.R. they reminded me to use the washroom since there was no catheter being used.  I had a private room and a private bathroom but no shower in room.  The floor has a conman shower room you can use.  The hospital supplies you with all you need.... But it was nice to have my own stuff.  Tampons?  I can't comment as I didn't experience that.

I've requested a private room but was told they can't guarantee it. Question about the private room, is there enough space for a spouse to stay overnight? Like a comfy chair they could sleep in and stretch out?

I was told that as well.... And just lucked out! My room was HUGE (for a hospital) with two chairs. Comfy for sleeping?  Not sure they are pretty hard and upright.  

I lucked out with a private room.  I had semi-private coverage from work, but somehow I had my own, and it was awesome.  There was just 1 chair in the room.  There's a tv room at the end of the hall that had a couch (?)  Bring earplugs too!!  forgot that tip.

Well...   me thinks I need to create t-shirts that say "I survived TWH Jell-0" 

Which I ate btw.  If you can find the pineapple orange juice - snag it!  And Incognito is right - the broth is tasty!
