Sugar Free Maple Syrup

Getting ready for puree stage on Fri and have seen recipes that call for sugar free maple syrup. Ohh the horror! this is so un-Canadian! Obsessed about maple syrup - use #3 for most of my cooking. They have a different grading system now - but the darker, the better. But I digress. Anyone know where I can by the fake stuff in Toronto? Not a Loblaws, Fresh or No Frills. I can buy it online - probably costs more to ship than the cost of the product.

A few suggestions - call a few Pharmasave's and see if they carry Walden Farms http://www.waldenfarms.ca/ products.  I've tried some of their products and they're not bad.  It's still a substitute for the real thing :/    I also found sugar free syrups at Winners of all places.

Thanks - there's a Pharmasave in Minden - I'm recuperating at the cottage just north of there so will check it out when I go into town Fri.

Most grocery stores carry ED Smith no sugar added maple syrup. I grew up using lite aunt Jemima and its tastes similar.

I use this one.  It is 30 calories and 7 carbs for 3 tablespoons, but I have only used one tablespoon at a time, so 10 calories is not bad.

I find it tastes like regular maple syrup.  I found it with all the pancake and syrups at Freshco.  I think it is pretty common, probably available at other grocery stores.

I hope the link works.

I have found the walden farms no sugar syrup at Popeyes and metro grocery stores.  Enjoy the purée stage, that first bite will be dreamy!  Lol

ED smith is sold at Wal-Mart. Coming from a family that boils down and makes syrup I understand your horror lol when I became diabetic I needed to find a suitable replacement..I dont actually mind the ED SMITH version :) And it isnt that expensive..less than $4

Well this certainly is the "go to" place for answers! Will keep my eyes peeled for E.D. Smith product on the grocery shelves and check online options.
