I'm a bit jealous about your swimming!  Perfect day for a dip.  I'm 2 weeks (and a day) post-op so submerging in water can't happen for another few weeks.  This is tough for a mermaid!

Breakfast - Protein shake w 1/2 banana and 1/4 frozen cherries, 1/3 cup greek yogurt.

Lunch - Approx 1/3 of a cup of tomato soup.

Snack - 1/4 cup light hummus and 2 rice crackers (devine!)

Dinner - 1/3 cup pureed chicken/potato/onion stewp w 1 tbsp. unflavoured protein powder

Evening sipper drink - 1 scoop Green Apple Nectar protein w 2cups water w ice.

I was afraid of this pureed meat stage.  Pffft.  I missed messing about in the kitchen and making dinner.  So tasty!

The swim was great but getting the wet suite on was tough. Just stick to me like clue no give in at all.

You will be able to get into a pool soon. Just get the OK from the doctor first.  I did not like the pureed stage at all. I still cooked since my husband is not a cook and I wanted him to eat more than mac and cheese. Keep up the good work

Your menu looks good, mine is crap I am sorry to say.

Well I screwed up Wednesday, feeling bad for myself after hearing from my centre that I was not eating enough calories, my fat brain decided now it was time to eat ice cream, I mean its calories right? Duh!  Pretty angry at myself, there has been too much of this and it is just getting me into bad habits again.  I need to be more vigilant, deal with my feelings in other ways, geez, it is sinking in that that the brain stuff has not improved as much as I had hoped.

b - greek yogurt from tim hortons - found out later that it has 25g of carbs in it, although I have to admit I had my suspicions even before I confirmed it.  They emphasize the 13g of protein but do not mention the carbs on their posters.  I know better but I was so hungry after getting my blood taken I caved, later...dacf coffee

s - 1/2 strawberry gnc protein shake

l - p28 slice with whipped pb and nsa jam

s - 1/2 simply protein bar

d - 1 small dipped cone, 1 peanut buster bar (unplanned and really dumb)

s - 1/2 strawberry gnc protein shake

tomorrow is another day I know but it really burns my butt that I cant stay on track more than this.  I mean, really?  Sorry, just feeling really stupid and frustrated with myself.

Don't beat yourself.  It is not an easy rode. I guess I am lucky that my stomach is very sensitive and does not allow me to eat ice cream and stuff. Everything has to be sugar free and even than it can not be a lot of it.

If you are worried about getting into bad habits could you talk to someone at your center and get help.

My bad habits has started after being out for 5 years and it is stupid stuff like picking while I am making dinner. know it is wrong but I do it.That is where I probably put some of my weight back on.

hope thursday is a better day for you

I visited my centre yesterday for my one year and they told me to eat more fruit and nuts to get in more calories, which is the exact opposite of what my endocrinologist and weight loss doctor told me, which was to keep my diet as low carb as possible.  I am so confused. Today was way better food-wise but I had to add stuff to get my calories up.

nuts is good source of protein and a way to bring up calories. As i was once told there is good carbs and bad carbs and fruit is a good carb as long as you don't over do it. I had a good long chat with a person who had weight loss surgery and very smart on what we can eat and they said two fruits a day is not going to hurt you. It is better to have the fruit than the drink the juice. This person has two fruit a day and has kept the weight off.

A few years ago i want and cut the carbs out of my diet and I was trying to do a run and had no energy and my trainer said either you go home and have some carbs or give up training. The body needs carbs. It is like a car. If you don't give the car gas than it can not go and the same with your body it needs good carbs to be able to work.

I hope this helps

I guess it is hard for me to stop at a small amount of fruit, I really really love fruit and once I have it I crave it all the time, its all that I want to eat and I tend to overdo it.  Lately it has been watermelon with feta cheese, if I could I would eat it at every meal. lol  Nuts and seeds I like, and I have lots in the freezer, I really should be eating them more, that would bump my calories for sure.
