I am introverted by nature so I regularly hibernate lol.  But yes, after surgery, the first few months I felt even more so, plus it was a challenge to get everything in, I stayed focused on that. Once I got into a new routine I felt more like socializing.  have a nice visit with your friend.

Good Morning All!  Spent the whole day yesterday with doctors, having doppler, ultrasounds, blood work, and hours in emerg.  My pseudo anurism in groin area acting up. Leaking a bit again. Leg continues to swell and be sore.  A vascular surgeon thinks I need surgery to repair it.  Waiting to hear from my cardiologist, to see what he thinks.  I really don't want another surgery, I am going to be bald! My hair is just coming out in handfuls.  Does anyone know if hair loss related to general anesthetic, is also caused by having, say, a spinal?

Anyways, did not eat much yesterday but breakfast.  Trying to get back on track today. Better do my laundry today in case some friggin doctor decides to admit me for surgery.  I am starting to think I am never going to be better.

B- 2 ricotta lemon pancakes, 1 tbsp e.d. smith nsa syrup.  I am going to make them with only 2 tablespoons of flour, instead of 3 to lower the carb count a bit.

L- 1 cup garden salad with a protini honey garlic on top.  2tbsp home made dressing.

D- Compliments salmon burger, nsa pickles.

S- syntrax fuzzy naval protein shake, 1 leftover ricotta pancake, 1tsp xyla raspberry jam.

myfitnesspal totals:  calories 587, carbs 39, fat 15, protein 75.

Bye for now

Sounds really tough Judy.  Try not to worry too much about anything other then your health.  Just get your water in as you dont want to get dehydrated.  Protein shakes are great as they provide fluids and protein.

Take care

Thanks, I did have my water bottle with me, but I know I didn't get enough, because I was rationing myself, didn't know when I could get a fill up.  Lame excuse I know.

Hey there, sorry to hear about your medical issues.  Hair loss I was told was from the surgery itself but can be made worse if you are not getting what you need nutritionally and if you do not take your vitamins.  As birdiegirl said focus on liquids and protein if that is all you can get in, its what I do when I am sick or exhausted.  The ready to drink shakes are good and easy, premier protein and gnc lean being really good choices.  I have to get some of that fuzzy naval protein shake, sounds really good, so many people seem to like it.  Take care of yourself, you will get through this and you will feel better again.

Thank you, I thought it was the anesthetic drugs that actually cause the hair loss.  Will have to do some more research.  I was drinking the premier shakes for awhile, but now I find them too sweet.  I may try the gnc rtd though, it seems that lots of people like them.  Would be easier when not home.

Thanks again,

judy

It is the anesthetic. Google "telogen effluvium" for a good explanation. :)

Hey Judy xo

So sorry to hear that your health is continuing to be uncooperative (to say the least!). Of course you don't want another surgery. NO ONE wants that, but do as you're told please by the doctors! Keep us posted on how you're doing. XO
