1 banana half bagel with peanut butter. dog loves it she gets the other half of it.

1 cliff bar on the bike ride

1/3 of a banana

one peach

dinner was 2 tablespoon of pasta salad, cooked the rest of the turkey burgers and had half of it no bun.

Hey highlandbear, your bike ride sounds awesome, good for you!

Your post reminded me of how I used to make my own low carb "bagels" in the microwave, not sure if that would interest you, here is the link: http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/lc_english_muffin2.html

I have not made them since surgery but they are on my list to try again, I really like them toasted.  They have a decent amount of protein too.

Yesterday was o****il I went to the drive-in.  It could have been worse I guess, here is what I ate:

1 year post op

b - gnc protein shake, strawberry, later...sf pomegranate water

s - protein bar - ansi cheesecake - here is the link, 8 net carbs, it was ok tasting

l - cucumber slices with garlic feta spread

s -  1/2 simply protein bar, later...sf grape koolaid

d - couple of handfuls of buttered popcorn, 1/2 small bag twizzlers, 6 bites of poutine (mostly curds, maybe 6 fries), fountain drink of diet coke with lots of ice

s - 4 nsa applesauce cups, 1/2 small bag twizzlers, sf pomegranate water

all water and vits

I have no idea why the applesauces but it is disturbing to me that I was able to eat 4 of them no problem.  Same with the twizzlers, I had no issue at all. Because I am not used to the caffeine I was up until 2am last night, wired from the diet coke.  Not a good idea folks, learn from my mistake.  Next time I go to the drive-in I will take a couple of bags of those quest protein chips and a special sf beverage to snack on, it will be special without getting crazy.

first of all thanks for the link on the bagel. I will have to try them. i know I would leave the flex out of them when I am running. I have huge stomach issues when I run. Things like to go right through me so i have to be careful. Not always so easy when you are out there to find the bathroom.  That is one reason the greek yogurt is a big part of my diet. I know I can have 4 of them and do a run. 4 of them when you run for 2 or 3 hours and 4 after wards is nothing. you burn so many calories.

You know what you did wrong yesterday so you don't need to be told and I don't want this to be where we beat each other up. It is to make us more aware of where we went wrong.

I have not touch diet coke in 6 years. Just be careful of it. there is reasons they say we should not have it.

You know next time if you go to the drive in to take your own food. Even take your own popcorn. The smart popcorn is good and if you measure some out and put in a bag and take it will not hurt you. It is not like you will have it everyday. This way you will some but will not be able to eat the whole bag.  The most important thing is you know where you went wrong and know how to change it.

Glad that you got out though. Hope it helped you.
