3 Week Stall? Is this real? If so how long does it last?
Hi there... I m 3.5 weeks post-op and have not really lost weight this past week... I lost about 24 pounds within the 2 weeks after surgery and then it slowed down....I am following everything as directed...eating and drinking when I should...
This is soooo frustrating!
Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?
Very normal, mine started almost to the day of the 3rd week. It lasted 10 days for me. I didn't panic about it because I had read a lot about it, so I wasn't shocked when it happened. Weight will drop soon again ---- no worries!!

if it makes you feel any better, I haven't lost a thing since I got home on August 8th. I put the scale away yesterday. Hang in there.

Best advice I received as a newbie was once I was weighed on the day of my surgery, put the scale away for 6 weeks. It's hard, I know. It's an amazing rush to see that number go down. It is so reinforcing, but that three week stall messes with your head and causes unneccessary anxiety. You are normal, relax and focus on healing and just enjoying your time before you have to go back to work or start your regular activities again! Good luck and best wishes... And congratualtions!
p.s. if it is any consolation, I only lost 6 pounds my first 6 weeks. But then my body kicked it up a notch and although my loss has never been as fast as 99% of anyone else's, a loss is a loss and I will take it.
