Welcome. Usually they have reviewed your file before you get the introductory appointment. Good Luck

Hi Sue

welcome! I'm new to the process as well. I'm in Brampton and was wondering when did your referral go in? How long did you wait to hear about the appointment for orientation?

thanks

😊

That seems quick.

How did you hear from them,by mail or by a phone call?

Sorry for all the questions. Tuesday will be 2 weeks my Dr said she would fill out the referral. I don't know what happens after that.

thanks Dianne😊

Hi Sue! I also live in London, ON. and have just started the process with my family doctor this week. He has only had 1 other patient have this surgery before in his career so he was going to educate himself on the referral process. He thought it would be at least a year before getting into Windsor so I am happy to hear that it was quicker for you! :)

My BMI is 45.9 and I have struggled with my weight for almost my entire life. I also have hypothyroidism which doesn't help.

I look forward to connecting with you and others on this board while learning about the process!
