gall stones after rny
Hi Sheila,
i feel your pain. LITERALLY! My Bariatric surgeon out of Humber Hospital does a "Trans Gastric ERCP". Basically, they do a laparoscopic procedure to get the scope into your common bile duct. It's not a matter of the scope being long enough, it's an issue of they can't get to it because of the bypass. Our remnant stomach has been stapled off. I'm booked for this procedure in September at Humber, so there is hope. You just need a referral to Dr Hagen or Dr Hyunh.
Referral Summer 2012, Orientation June 10/13 HRRH, Dr Hagen July 3/13, Dr Glazer, RN/RD/SW September 19/13, Dr Hagen October 10/13, Surgery January 21/14

Sheila! OMG, it's been years! Sorry to hear about the gallbladder troubles, I had mine out when I was 2 years post-op RNY.
Robyn provided you with great info though!
