Anti-clotting shots
I think it is very much dependent on your health history. I have deep vein thrombosis and I had to take Inno-hep shot ( blood thinners) for 30 days. I have insurance that paid for it. A surgery I had for a knee replacement two years ago and only had shots for 1 week.

I had surgery at HRRH by yes I was sent home on Enoxaparin shot. I had to be on them for 30 days post-op due to new history of blood clots but I believe more people it's for 8 days. I had insurance to cover the cost of my injections so I don't remember the cost.

I had my surgery this past Friday with Dr. Grantcherov. I was given blood thinners at the hospital but was not sent home with any. It depends on how your surgeon chooses to order your aftercare.
