RNY 6 Years 4 Months Post Op

Morning

I still do not understand the logic in having two threads.  Whether you post in the morning or the evening its the same damn thing - its all about what you ate, whether it be pre planned in the morning or entered late at night.

However - I am going to begin this post this morning and see.  I have participated in it for over 6 years and it has become part of my habit.  I am not prepared to wait until evening to post my plan for the day.  This whole thing is just ridiculous imo

Today I have lots on the go - Ti-Cats football tonight

STEPS - 15,446

EATS

B - 2 large mugs of coffee

     Premier protein shake

S - 3 slices of blue menu ham

L - 6 oz grilled swordfish with tapenade ( olive - capers - sun dried tomatoes)

D - 2 cups of kale salad

    3 oz grilled swordfish

S at game - 1 Coors light

1 grilled brat - no bun

MYFITNESSPAL totals for the above menu are:  Calories - 1,310,  Carbs - 51 Grams,  Fat - 50 Grams,  Protein - 136 Grams

All water and vits

Have a great one

Hi Birdie.  My understanding is that we are not stopping the WAYET posts, but rather that the "what did you eat" posts are just an additional post for people to use.  I think its a good idea, especially if you are finding that you did not follow your plan for the day, sort of a "reality check".  I still plan to post in the WAYET primarily.

Just realized that today is my one year surgiversary!!

It has been such an amazing year, so much change and I am so grateful to have had this surgery.  Also very grateful to have this forum with all of you lovely people, you are terrific!  I have my weekly yoga class in an hour, then I am going to the farmers market, want to pick up some local wax beans, tomatoes, garlic scapes, and some hot turkey pepperettes. Might have bacon and veggies while there, the guts only of a "bacon on a bun".  Have to work tomorrow so I am going to chillax the rest of the day, maybe watch a movie.

12 months post op (o-m-g!!)

b - gnc strawberry shake, sf cherry koolaid

s - half a simply protein bar, bacon and veggies at the farmers market, decaf coffee

l - probably something lazy like a slice of p28 toast with cheez whiz or lf swiss cheese

s - olive hummus with green peppers

d - probably something lazy like a slice of p28 toast with cheez whiz or lf swiss cheese

s - more olive hummus and green peppers

all water and vits

have a nice day everyone!

Using two threads is nonsense to me as well.  Just come back to this one and either edit your post to show what you actually ate or just make another comment in the thread with what you did eat.  The new one is obviously confusing people as someone posted in it thinking it was this thread just the other day.  Lots of people used to come back and edit their posts later in the day or comment on it.  Haven't seen it much lately but when you are an antique like I am, you've seen it all.  Some people don't even post in this one til the day is done because they are not planners or they know they never stick to it.

Thank you very much :0)   I am not doing anything special, just relaxing.  I might review my forum posts, that should be interesting.  I have posted a lot!

Congrats on one year - now keep the pedal to the metal and finish the job.  It gets much more difficult as time goes by.  Keep at it and watch your choices.  Protein and veg - lots of water or fluids - be careful with the carbs eh

Thanks birdiegirl, I will keep up the fight and thank you for the reminder re carbs.  They sneak in there so easily, it is crazy!  I am curious to see what will be the weight my body determines is where I stop.  Did you lose much weight after your first year?  I know its not good to compare but its interesting how everyone seems to be different.

I sent a post of congrats but not sure what happened to it.  It may 'appear' later

Anyway - congrats on one year - now keep the pedal to the metal and finish the job.  Get to goal as quickly as possible because believe me your choices will be more difficult as times go on.
