Anyone out there going through the accessment process at Toronto Western right now?

Hi guys! I'm looking to connect with some of you who may currently be going through the assessment process at Toronto Western. My dates are below. Thanks!

I am, well I'm almost done. My orientation was 2 days before yours. Surgery is in 2 weeks tomorrow!

Good luck with your surgery! Wow, you definitely went through the process fast. I'm not sure what the timing depends on, they gave me my first 3 appts at orientation and once I got through all  of them, they booked the psych and nutrition ones for me for end of Oct. I keep calling and asking but each time I get an answer no cancellations and they're now booking for those into Jan 16. I'll try and be patient and wait it out.

I am also going through the process there. If you want yo meet others, you can attend the support group meetings. They will begin again in September and occur on the first and third Wednesday of the month.

also, no shame in calling to see if any of your appointments can be moved up due to a cancellation.

I went through TWH. Had my orientation on Jan 9/15 and my Surgery on July 31/2015. The wait at TWH isn't bad at all and much better than that of Humber. 

I am also going through the process at TWH. 

I cannot figure out how to get a profile picture up, or a signature....but I am also going through TWH, orientation was mid Jnauary, and surgery is tomorrow! (Nervous excitement over here)

So far I have been really impressed with TWH, and the whole process.

Wow... good luck tomorrow! I'm sure you'll do great. For signature go to profile - message board - signature. Similar with photo, under profile and then click on the space where your photo would be. TWH is great, I found the staff amazing and very respectful of everyone and their stories. I feel truly grateful living here and having this covered through OHIP, especially hearing people in the U.S. talking about their insurance stories. All the best to you!

Today I went to TWH for pre op. Went well. Hubby came with me. he had Orientation on Aug 8. After my pre op was done we went up to the clinic to see is he could jump on some cancelled appointments. He got really lucky! below I'll list the original apt date vs the new date he was able to get.

Social worker - Sept 22 changed to Aug 12 (tomorrow!!)

Nurse - Nov 11 changed to Aug 13 (the next day!!)

Nutrition class Jan 11 Changed to Oct 13

It pays to walk in and see them face to face, I've never had luck over the phone.
