What are you eating/doing today? (Tuesday)
Hope everyone is having a great day! Had my follow ups today at the bariatric clinic. Went great! The nutritionist said I should be eating more carbs, (I usually do 20 or less a day) and try to get my protein up to 80-90. Nurse, Elvirita, was lovely as usually. And, I got to see Dr. Huynh today, so I don't have to make the trip down to Toronto next Thursday. Yeaa! He was very happy with my progress, especially since all I have gone through since my bypass. So all is good, I have started losing again, and starting to feel better!
B- missed it, had to leave the house before 6am.
L- I mini piti, made into sandwich, with cheese, ham, lettuce, cucumber, red pepper, and 1 teaspoon miracle whip calorie wise, couple no sugar added pickles
D- Compliments Wild Pacific salmon burger, half cup cauliflower with 1 tbsp cheez wiz melted on top.
S- syntrax fuzzy naval shake.
myfitnesspal totals: calories 461, carbs 18, fat 15, protein 65.
My protein is low so I am going to cook two salmon burgers, and if I have room, have some later tonight at bedtime. They only have 120 calories and 23gr of protein, and I love them!

They are lightly seasoned with lemon and garlic. I just pan fry them in a little oil. I don't find them too fishy. I am not a big fish lover either. I have tried salmon filets, and haddock filets, with different rubs and seasonings and I have found them too "fishy". I am still trying to find something I like. I tried a recipe that was on the main page last week, Spicy Sweet Blackened Salmon. I loved the coating but I tried it on haddock, did not really like it. I have some salmon that I am going to try it on next. I cook the salmon burgers in a hot pan so they get a little crispy on the outside. They are still moist enough inside that they don't bother my pouch. Sometimes I put a little salsa on top after cooking, Karen's Salsa Fresco went really well with it.
