What are you eating/doing today? (Sunday)
Good morning everyone! Up early again, but got 7 hours of sleep so that is ok. Ended up shopping at vv instead of going to the garlic festival yesterday, so this morning I am going. Also going to see a movie with my little niece, should be fun. Tried those Quest protein chips and they are not bad, they do have a strange smell to them but the taste and texture I find quite nice, plus they are very filling.

Good morning everyone. Zizzler I didn't mind the taste of the Quest chips, but the texture wasn't to my liking. I found them a little like those hosts they give out at communion. Have fun with your niece today, and enjoy the movie and garlic festival.
Had a good day yesterday listening to music. We saw 7 different artist's shows. Today I am going back for the last day of Bluesfest. My bento lunch box worked out well yesterday, but with lugging that, my chair, my footstool, my purse, and my thermos, my back is sore this morning. Today I will lighten the load and only take my purse and chair. I found a great place for iced decaf cappuccino (must stay hydrated) and a place that does all day breakfast.
1 year post op
B. Large iced decaf coffee
S. Breakfast burrito with salsa
S.2 a large iced decaf cappuccino
L. The other half of the breakfast burrito
S. another large decaf cappuccino (so yummy)
D. Not sure, it will depend on what time I get home. I will try to do protein and veg, but if I'm really tired it might just be soup.
Have a great day everyone and enjoy the rest of your weekend - yay summer.

Hey Cc, glad to hear you are enjoying the music. The texture of the quest chips is different, sort of reminds me of a cross between a pringle chip and those popped chips. I thought it was pleasant, although there were a lot of broken pieces on the bottom. I noticed a new mocha chocolate simply protein bar, looks like a new flavour, in case you are interested. Hope your back feels better soon. I have been thinking of purchasing a bento set too, they are so cute and help with portioning too. Hope you had an awesome day!
Morning all. Had a CRAZY 2 days at work recently. Two fist fights in back to back and the police being called and it was a big mess. Oh these fights are between patients and not me, lol. Too many young men doing drugs and little to do seems to be the cause of these fights. It's such a shame though that these young people are wasting their lives like this.
Other than that hope you have a good day with your niece ZIzz and CC enjoy the Blues festival. Was so tired last night went to bed around 12:30am didn't wake up till 10:30 this morning. I'll be heading off to do errands and buy some crutches as i was told i'd need them for surgery on Wednesday. I think I'll cook some food in bulk and freeze them as I'll be off my feet for a good week.

Oh my gosh, that would be upsetting. Were you there when the fights took place? Is this normal in your workplace, do you feel safe? I hope things calm down there, that sounds stressful. Good to hear your surgery is coming soon, it will be over and you will be on the mend before you know it. Hope you had a great day!
Yes i was there during both fights. The first was on Thursday just before dinner at 5pm. I had just finished cooking and was about to dish for the residents when i heard one of the girls screaming at the boys. Before i knew it chairs were being thrown and punches flying between the boy and girl. I was trying to separate and call the cops at the same time whilst the other residents are just calling me to give them dinner, lol. It was a zoo i tell you. The one of the boys stepped in to defend the girl, OMG!!! Put holes in the walls and everything.
Second was yesterday. Name calling and someone being a jerk. Eventually one reached his boiling point and punched the other. Moved into the street and again, trying to break up fight whilst calling the police and people wanting snacks and food. I feel safe as i think they won't hurt me, "knock on wood". It can be stressful but, I usually don't stress to easy.
The closer surgery is, the more nervous i'm getting. I hope the doc fixes my knee good and i can get n with my life. Thanks for the kind words.
You are so brave to work at a job like that. I have so much respect for people who take on these difficult jobs in society. You are helping to make the world a better place and you should be proud. Do they not have a panic button at your work? If not then they should, I used to work nights in retail and I felt safer knowing it was there. As for your knee, at least no opti this time eh? You will do great and your knee will be easier to use after you heal.
No there's no panic button. I feel safe though, well until something happens, knock on wood it doesn't. I like my job, i really do but, it can be overwhelming at times. I just have to remind myself that they are a little challenged.
LOL on the opti. I did pretty good on opri and i think i'm one of the few who actually enjoyed it.
