HRRH questions

So when I meet Dr. Hagen, and get a surgery date, I buy Opti,from his office,   do I pay cash? I need 2 weeks how much? How long before surgery was your pre-op tests? I live 80-90 minutes from hospital will I have to stay 2 nights at hotel after I get discharged?

I had RNY July 10 with Dr Hagen. Good surgeon. Yes you can buy Opti at his office... His secretary Elli will get it for you. It will cost $220 and you can pay with debit card. She will provide you with four boxes (two vanilla and two chocolate) she doesn't like to provide four of one flavour or three/one flavour). this is enough opti for four packet test a day...she will also give you instruction sheet and list of foods allowed while taking opti. Don't get excited, only allowed one cup of certain kinds of vegetables each day.

Ellie will set you up with date and time for pre admission PATT - usually two weeks before surgery. In my case some emergencies pushed me to one week prior. But not good because hospital may have some descrepancies with your history, allergies or reports from Dr Glazer.  My PATT WAS FOR 8:30 in morning and I was out by noon last stop being X-ray dept.

now Ellie will also tell you if your surgery is booked as a 1 day, two day or three day for hospital. But remember you do not have to leave if you do not feel up to riding 90 min on release. You will discuss this with Dr Hagen before he releases you. If you feel good to go, you can go home. If there is any special needs or difficulties with your surgery, don't agree to be released. If all seems fine, you should not be concerned about being close to ER. Dr Hagen is very good to discuss things like this with and if he thought you need to be near Emergency, he will not let you go. Don't worry, you are going to be fine. When you go home have your own pillow with you to protect tummy from seat belt.

Dr Hagen's office will walk you through step by step and you can always call Ellie, she is great.

Hi. I was just wondering how yoy got transferred to Dr. Hagen? Did you call the Biatric Clinic and ask for a transfer?  

H there I asked Dr. Starr office if if could transfer, to Dr. Hagen, and the said ok but you can't can't back if he I booking further out than us. Goal143 ha suggest I am as she had called the offices to see when they were booking surgery, she h , timing issue with work. I also do a Starr is now booking March.  

Hey after ur trio appointment and ur internist how did u get u surgery appointment  did u just call or did u have to go in 

As soon as you have your trio appointments and they clear you for surgery, you call the surgeons office within the next couple days and you are given a date :)
