too many calories?

I have problems posting what I am eating early in the day and I found just because I post it did not mean I would stick with it. I have been thinking of starting a post on what did you eat today and having it at the end of the day. Just not sure if people would be interested.  I know it would help me

What would the time you choose to post make it any different from the thread that runs daily? People post when it's convenient and when it works for them. You're welcome to join in as always.

Karen the post of what are you having is people who are planning out there menu for the day. I just thought it might help people to post what they did eat for the day.  The few times I did post on what are you having I either changed my mind throughout the day or ended up having something extra that I did not put in.  Just thought it would be nice to have something at night to go to and put down what you had and be able to help each other

It would be interesting to see how many of us changed our menus to reflect what we actually ate - bites, tastes, oops, bad choice, didn't feel like it, etc. ;)

I think i will post it Monday night  and see how it goes. If people are interested fine if not that is OK also. Can not start it before Monday since I know that is not going to be a good weekend for me. It will be a carb day for me tomorrow and sunday morning since I have my triathlon race. I will burn those carbs off and I Don't go over board. My stomach will not allow it. It could be interesting to see how many people stay with what they said they were having. I know I never did. I need to do this for me. I want to lose 10 to 20 pounds and having trouble doing it. Maybe this will help if i know i am posting what I ate

I would like to chime in on this one, for a kudos, for the first few months, I did post on the "what are you eating/doing" post, and I do try to recommend it to people when I post, I find it extremely helpful, like you said, helped keep me on track and in a way accountable for my diet and food choices. People post great ideas, I also find it helps me plan out my meals better. I bulk cook now and instead of coming home at the end of the day and staring at the fridge and say "meh, I will just order something", my meal is already prepped. Its one of the few post I make sure to check when I log on now, just to see if there are any post with interesting meal ideas. Great job on this daily post!

It's so nice to read that you have found it helpful. I too find it valuable as I do best when I am required to make a plan for the day re. meals/eating in general. After 9 1/2 years, do I need to post daily? No, of course not - my healthy routines have been set for years. The daily thread keeps my head in the game and continues my routine mindfully. I firmly believe that making a plan/being organized in my eating is extremely important - and that includes the bulk cooking that you mentioned. Good for you.

Same. I'm just not a morning gal. I like reading the threads but I have a hard time posting in them before half of the work day is gone (and on the weekends, I'm sleeping in lol). I would definitely do a "What did you eat" thread

Not a vet, but when I saw you last week, i thought you looked great.  Not only had you lost weight, but you looked really strong and healthy.  When I was at Guelph in February they told me that I should be eating between 600-800 calories a day during the losing phase and that maintenance would be between 1000-1200.  When I was in last week, they didn`t say anything about calorie goals and told me I was doing great (that was a different NUT than the one I saw in February)

Ultimately this is your journey.  You could try cutting 100 calories a day and see how you feel.  See if you are tired and can keep up the same level of exercise, see if you still feel strong and well.  Personally I think you are doing fine.
