3.5 Months - 70 lbs Down!!! Excess BMI -40%

Hello!

Life has got in the way. I have been doing great and feeling fine. I have been having absolutely 0 complications, no nausea, no vomiting, and no dumping! I watch my meals and portion sizes to the letter. I have impressed my Bariatric Team.

I am loosing around 1 pound every three days, when I get into a good rhythm. Some days I will plateau for 3-4 days, but then I look back to see my food logs. As long as you are always drinking your water, getting in your protein and taking your vitamins you should do well.

I have been taken off two blood pressure medications. I now have textbook BP readings 124/77. I no longer experience lots of heart burn. Taking my prevacid every day and keeping out the caffeine. I actually have come to enjoy decaf at least the good kind. McCafe and Tim Horton's Decaf I like the best.

If anything the Bariatric Team is telling me that I am not getting enough protein. As I am around 90 - 95 grams a day and they want me near 115 as of my height.

Feeling skinny has never TASTED SO GOOD! I love the feeling of my body shedding the pounds and the weight being released. It is as if my soul is finding itself again, awaking to the life that the FAT had stolen from me.

Pictures to come!!

That is so awesome! Cannot wait to see your updated pictures :)

i am worried about caffeine after the surgery. I love coffee, I would marry coffee if I could. IVe been weaning myself off it slowly but decaf sounds so foreign to me haha.

Its nice to hear someone is enjoying the switch. :P

Very encouraging and timely for me! I am a week away from surgery and wondering how soon I can resume activities. Was waffling about launching or storing my boat for the balance of the season, closing down the cottage etc. (Thanksgiving is the norm). Not cruising in choppy water, so think I will be back on board before the end of the month / early Sept. Will leave heavy lifting to others!
