One Week Post-Op
Okay.. .. the first day home from the hospital ...I admit ...I was freaking out. I think I was just exhausted and most likely still a little drugged up. Just feeling overwhelmed. Quite honestly fearing this unknown life that I was going to start alone. Luckily it didn't take too long to adjust . In fact, I'm feeling great! Out and about -walking, shopping, doing my usual routine. I have had virtually no pain - no nausea, sleeping well. Lost over 20pds since July 7 pre-op...which is AWESOME!!!!
Went to clinic today for the 1wk follow up. Blood pressure was perfect ( usually a big high) - got some questions answered - he seemed happy with my progress .....and frankly.... so am I!!!
So.... There it is.......one week down. A lifetime of weeks to go, but I'm just going to take it one day at a time.
Have a great weekend everyone!!
Bob H..... I read you profile blog, it's great that you are sharing your story as soooo many of us can surely relate. For me, that thing about not realizing what you look like at the time until you've regained (plus likely more ) and look back at pictures and think wow..I looked amazing and didn't see it -- is a crazy phenomenon - it has happened to me countless times! Let's hope this time around we have both learned a few things and will be more self aware. Your time is coming soon.....I will be cheering for you!!! :)
It sounds like you're doing just great! It can be a little overwhelming the first few weeks but I'm sure you'll figure it all out in no time. :)

It was great meeting you too! I wish we had more time to chat. I couldn't believe when you said who you were, knowing you are only a week out of surgery - you are looking FABULOUS!
