I really truly am committed to my new life - Silly video included
Yesterday I made a big change. I cut off my dreadlocks after 16 years. This might not have anything to do with WLS but for me it has to do with the whole pkg. Washing dreadlocks is a pain and not only that it takes at least 24 hours to dry completely. I can't wear a regular bike helmet and swimming underwater like a fish was a luxury, I grew up with a pool, I love to swim!
I guess what I'm trying to say is by cutting them off I've committed myself to the fitness side of this journey as well. Sign me up for the next Aquafit class! Can't wait to buy a bike!
Hubby filmed while cutting and made this silly little video, Enjoy!
I loved the little video!! You have a great attitude!!! I have to get myself into the fitness part of this journey as well. I had my surgery July 14th and am feeling pretty good right now.... Good luck and thanks for sharing the video!!

so far so good, went in on July 14th for 8 AM surgery and was home Thursday July 16th by 5:00PM....so far everything has been going well. On the full fluids diet now...I am with Guelph we do 1 week clear fluids, 2 weeks full fluids, then gradually start with soft foods and work our way up to regular food...my biggest challenge is getting the water in between meals...we have to sip sip sip and it seems to fill me up.....one good thing I have not felt physical hunger at all...a few times some head hunger...like last night at the trailer when hubby was BBQing himself burgers....BUT I know I can't have them so I was fine with my cream of potatoe soup ( 1/2 cup) and latter my 1/4 cup vanilla greek yogurt...its all good so far!!
I actually liked the OPTI...I had both chocolate and vanilla...I would add on half the water and mix it up into a pudding...it was like a mousse...I liked it!! :)

Thanks everyone :) It was time for a change. I went and got a hair cut at a salon today for the first time in 16 years, it was weird. Not completely happy with the cut but it'll grow on me. haha grown on me. I'm kinda looking forward to a little hair loss my hair is thick so the short cut makes it puffy . I'll try and post a photo.
Now to go out and buy some purple hair dye
