Opti tomorrow!
So it begins... My belly is doing backflips. I'm nervous and excited... but mostly nervous. It's getting real now.

Whoohooo!! I'm on day 4 of Opti and just rollin with it. My advice is try not and make drinking the stuff a bigger deal than it is. Have a really good shaker or blender though - a rogue chunk hitting your lip is gross. lol. My favourite combo right now is the vanilla mixed with Crystal Light Peach - the little squirt bottle. And I just chug it. Make sure you drink LOTS of water, and comfortable shoes for all those trips to the loo. ;) Good luck and it's really happening!!!

I'm going through TWH, and they don't permit anything other than sugar free jello or broth that's under 10 calories per serving. So it's been a bit of a challenge. Only a few more days to go. Hang in there. I got to add adding cinnamon, ginger and cardamom to the opti - kind of like a chai flavouring. Really good!
I did OptiFast for 16 weeks in 2011 - I found the best way to do it is use some ice, cinnamon a packet of sweet and low and mix her up in a bullet then drink it cold... Chocolate works as well, especially if you buy some sugar free mint flavoring! It's only 3 weeks, you are going to do awesome and then the next adventure begins!

I've noticed that the food cravings are similar to that of a craving when you quit smoking. It's like a slight emptiness. Like something's missing. It hasn't really bugged me too much yet, so that's good.

I just wanted to say...make the best of it. It is only a short time. Also I had my surgery July 10. And a history of two years on only liquids. My stomach had closed up and I was more sensitive to o cal syrups and crustal light. Before you chug down your opti with a flavour squirt...do this for me. blend up your Opti and pour just an oz into a glass. Squirt the fruit flavour and then stir with a spoon. Some of those zero cal syrups actually kirtle the Opti. Be careful, if you chug the whole thing down and let it kirtle in your stomach, you will be experiencing acid reflux and maybe vomit. I bought all kinds of berry and fruit flavour zero cal and could not use any while on opti. Second cup has a squirt that is zero cal coffe flavours...nice in the morning. I was lucky, I have mint growing in my backyard and made a mint tea to add to flavour the chocolate opti. Best wishes...your surgery is just around the corner.
