Thanks very much! Great to hear from someone who knows the doc and the routine at Civic.  I am waiting everyday for a call with a date, alas it seems like it is taking forever.  Hope the stomach issues have resolved and that you feel more energy soon.....so glad to hear that your feet, knees and hips are better.  I don't think we realize the toll the weight has on every system in the body.

Btw did you wait long between your surgeon appt and the call with the date?

Thanks again.

I think it was about 6-7 weeks between meeting the surgeon and getting that call from Lana. (I was honestly expecting longer...there can be quick a back log.) Because of work commitments, I had to postpone from the original date offered in January to March...but it all worked out. Getting that call from Lana was probably the most exciting part of the process.

The Magic Bullet is a blender at Walmart and Canadian Tire. Or go to Toys ur us and buy the baby bullet. You can also buy a hand blender almost anywhere. Prep class suggested Metamucil?...you will not be using Metamucil after surgery. (It swells in the stomach) I have the powder and it definitely says sugar free but I never bothered with capsules. Look up on website for Metamucil and see what the sugar fee looks like. You will always need fibre and each session I went to in my area and the guidebook states benefiber.

Thanks, Helen.   Will double check re the fibre but I thought Metamucil was for the optic stage.  So much to learn...I appreciate yours tips.  Thanks again.
