Glad the tennis went well. Not sure I would have the knees or ankles for it . I am missing my swimming. It does take me 1/2 hour to walk to work. I am not the fastest walker. Went for aanother walk last night just to get tired. It didn't work. I had troublle falling asleep then up at 4:30 this morning. Another day of not knowing what I will eat.

Hi Pat

I usually find it tough after vacation to get back into the swing of things.  Sorry you aren't sleeping - I really hate insomnia.

My joints are sore this morning - golf lesson and then golfing afterwards today, so no break for them.  I can see some Tylenol in my program tonight.

Take care of yourself

Morning all :)

Amazing the physical NSVs that just keep on coming, eh Barb? You are an athlete. I remember years ago how losing so much weight threw off your golf swing - funny the things we remember. ;)

I am not an athlete, but have been consistently taking the stairs at work when possible. Standing in the Great Hall at the base of the tower stairs is a little daunting but I have noticed a few people in runners and workout gear doing the stairs at lunchtime and am considering joining them on non committee/council days.

Really dragging my butt this morning (speaking of non-athletes lol) as I was up 3 times through the night with charley horse issues in my feet and shins. Grrrr.  Off to work for the day, have a couple of errands to run at lunch, not sure what else. Finally finished (for now) the back yard/patio garden last night and I am pretty thrilled with how it's looking - and already making plans for additions/changes for next summer. lol

9 years post-op

- coffee with cream x 3 over the day -

B - GNC Total Lean shake (banana cream - omg, I love this)

S - Source Greek (cherry), a few grapes

L - cucumber/dill/almond quinoa salad (Quinoa 365 cookbook) with 3 oz cubed chicken breast tossed in and sprinkled with a little crumbled feta (wishing I had tzatziki in the house) (this is a little carby due to the quinoa but I've been craving it so I'll deal. lol)

S - not sure I'll want one, will bring ham/cheese/pickle roll-ups (2) with deli mustard for dipping

D - Sheppard's pie from the freezer, hold the potatoes

S - likely just coffee with cream

Have a terrific Tuesday,

K. :)

Your menu looks wonderful - especially lunch!

Crazy  that you remember me losing my golf swing when I lost so much weight. I was a mess for a year until I adjusted to the new me.  Don't you think its all about getting more active?  I love sports so try to incorporate them into my life as they aren't a hardship.  ( other then joints etc)  Taking the stairs is exactly what I am talking about - parking further away from the store - getting out of your chair more often when watching TV etc etc

Enjoy the new patio - best part of summer!

I love my lunch too - best quinoa recipe that I've had. I added a few extras - red onion, yellow peppers, chicken, crumbled feta - so fresh and delicious.

I completely agree with you - it is all about being generally active in the day-to-day. Walk instead of driving short distances (a couple of ladies that I work with actually drive to Square One - it's next door FFS!!), park farther out, take the stairs, walk documents etc. to the recipient instead of inter-office... anything is worthwhile.  I too am a huge fan of sports - key word: fan. lol

Enjoy golf today, hope the rain holds off for you!

Good morning everyone.  Barb so glad you enjoyed your tennis.  Tanya enjoy the gym.  Pat and Karen insomnia is a b****ch.  Karen thank you for the PM.

Not feeling hungry at all.  Today I get scoped, so clear fluids this morning and who knows how I'll feel this evening.  My guess is just sleepy.

The past little while I have been having trouble posting from my phone.  This happened when I first was on OH, but in the past week it won't let me post.  Where the message box normally is in the post function is just a red asterisk, and my keyboard doesn't even come up on the phone.  i haven't updated my phone, so I'm not sure what is going on.  Any tech savvy people out there with suggestions.

Have a great day everyone.

Good luck today. I'm sure you'll feel only slightly groggy and ready to eat something tonight.

As for the OH issue - write to tech support (click on "Report a Problem" in the very bottom right of your screen).
