Good morning everyone.  Thank you all for your suggestions on how I can celebrate my surgiversary next week.  I think I will follow everyone's suggestions.  NewMe I like new clothes and can always use new shoes (now my feet are smaller, I need a rockin' pair of shoes) and I like the idea of horseback riding.  Zizzler I have booked a one hour foot massage.  I think I would also like to try ziplining and they have one not far from where I live, so today I will look into that.  Karen I took your advice and went back and looked at my old posts.
There are 56 pages of old posts, and I have been on this thread since one week after surgery.  Karen you asked me to look back and see how far I have come, well what I noticed was that all of you have been there for me with support, encouragement, enlightenment, and compassion throughout this journey.  Karen you were one of the first to respond when I started Opti.  NewMe you welcomed me when I got home from the hospital, and all of the rest of you on the WAYE thread were my support when I fell and was in hospital for 2 1/2 weeks in January.  So although I know I have worked very hard to lose the 115 lbs. that I have, and to get back to being stronger after my fall, I also know that all of you have been right there with me during my struggles and I know that you are an integral part of my success.  I got a little teary when I read your words of support over this past year, THANK YOU all so much.

Today starts my prep diet for my colonoscopy/endoscopy that I am having on Tuesday, so it's funny that one year ago I was on shakes, and guess what, I'm back to shakes for a few days.

Happy Friday to Everyone!  Cc a foot massage sounds awesome, and ziplining sounds really cool.  That is funny that you have to do the liquid diet at the same time this year. As for the people who post to wayedt every day, they are such a great bunch, you guys are awesome!  I have been posting to wayedt since 8 months before my surgery, and I still enjoy hearing what you are doing and eating.  To me it is much more interesting that just putting info into myfitnesspal, which I use as well,  it tells the whole story behind the food, and that human aspect is so important to understand.

Have to work tomorrow so it is not really Friday for me but oh well, that's life eh?  My eyes popped open at 6 even though I can sleep in until 640 but it is what it is, going to have a leisurely breakfast and shower.  Just work today and then home and the gym, feels good to get back to my daily workouts, I had been only going 2-3 times a week and I realize I need more to reduce my anxiety.  Plan to get a massage this weekend too, my back and neck are really tight.

Over the past weeks my leg cramps have gotten really bad so I am trying to incorporate bananas into my daily menu.  Also, I had another incident where I felt like I would faint while at vv last night. I grabbed my cart and did not faint but it was weird and disturbing and I am going to call my centre and see what they say about it.  I know I was low on iron so I am taking more now, I wonder if it is related.  I will ask them about the leg cramps at the same time.

I found one of the causes of my leg cramps was not enough water. This can also cause dizziness. I am sure you are drinking alot but at this time of year it is even more important. Hope you find out what it is. Cramps suck!

I will be extra careful with water just in case.  I Have always had leg cramps from time to time but these ones stick around and do not ease when I stretch my calf.

CC your activities to celebrate sound great. I loved zip lining once I go over my fear of heights. LOL

When to the rehearsal for the Panam opening ceremony last night. If you get a chance to watch it it was great. Sometimes a little chaotic but great.

I am going to try to get a hair cut today. Not sure when I will have time after today. I really need to go grocery shopping. Probably not until Sunday. I will probably not post tomorrow. It is my first volunteer time for the on venue games. I need to be at Varsity Stadium for 7:45am.

Morning all. What a lovely post CC and hope you have fun on your anniversary day with the activities you picked and good luck with the colon prep, lol.

I went for my EMG yesterday to see why my hand has been numb. The test result was great and i have no carpal tunnel. The doc thinks with all the weight loss, i might have pinched a nerve when i was leaning on my elbow or something and thinks the numbness will go away on it's own. I don't have a scale at home as the numbers still dictate my feelings/mood that day so, i weight at the doc and happy to report that i'm maintaing at 172lbs. Since my lap a few months ago, i've been well and eating more and i was anxious that i was eating too much etc, the usual mind games. At least now i know i'm on the right track.
