Good morning all. Work today, still catching up. I have been working on a picnic for our union for Thursday. That is getting a little crazy. I have decided not to help them today at noon because I really need to swim for me. I will try not to feel too guilty. I work with someone who likes to call me constantly with minor things just to have someone to bounce things off of. Yesterday he drove me nuts until I finally let him know I was busy. Then he sent a student with more questions I am hoping he will be too busy today o drive me crazy.

Hi Folks, I'm not going to bore you with what I am eating today (still on pureed stage and I log in MFP), but I wanted to tell you that I check this thread every day and find it really inspiring how you all stay on track. So thanks for posting.

Roma go ahead and post your menu, we won't be bored. It's good for newbies to see what other newbies are eating, and also the vets can chime in with suggestions.

Good day all. Nothing much planned today, not even household drudgery, i did that the other day.

20 months post op

B - oatmeal with chia/flax seeds, protein powder and tbsp pb

L - 1/3 cup curry red beans, 2oz pork chop

S - 2oz leftover grilled steak

D - 2-3oz corned beef brisket, 1/3 cup cabbage

S - skinny cappuccino, leftover brisket

Totals: 730 cals, 42 carbs, 29 fats, 76 protein, will probably find some protein to add to my totals as they are a bit low.

Have a great day all, Nia.

Hey Nia,  I have never tried pb in oatmeal before.  Do you add it before heating up the oatmeal or after?

I add it in after it's cooked. As an african, i eat a lot of "weird" stuff. I also add pb to spinach that is cooked down in bicarbonate of soda with onions and tomato. As well as cows intestines, stomachs, as well as other organ meats, cows/pigs feet. I limit the offal meats to once in a very blue moon as they are too calorific for the protein and also contain a lot of fat. Back home, i used to eat flying ants, those were delish, lol.

That sounds very interesting.  I like peanut butter in Thai food so I probably would like it in other dishes.  Not sure I would go for flying ants, and how would I ever log them into My Fitness Pal, lol.
