Thank you!  How are you doing?  Back at work?

I'm doing great!  Down 42lbs from starting opti... So that's awesome.  I'm at the purred stage which has been nice....6 weeks on liquids was doable but it's nice to eat other things.

Everything with my surgery went great.  I had some hemoglobin problems and had to stay an extra 3 days in TWH.  I am not back to work yet.  I am still trying to get my hemoglobin up.  I will be off for 6 weeks.  But everyone is different.

😀

Private room? I will be at the East General (wanted St. Mike's which is w/in walking distance of home) and my surgeon said they wouldn't give me a private room -- all gastric by pass patients are in a ward together with large beds & specialized equip. Hmmmm. Digging out the lip balm and earplugs now.

I was asked what my coverage was during my pre-op appt. as well as the day of surgery I was asked again.  I only have semi private coverage and paid the extra for a private.  Sorry that you don't have that option.   Ear plugs will come in handy.  Being with other gastric pt. and not just the general public isn't to bad.... Friends always make the time go by 😉.  Best of luck to you!!

All I used from my giant overpacked bag was: lip balm, earplugs, slippers.
