Appointment with Surgeon

Happy Canada Day tomorrow.   We are so blessed to live in this beautiful land.  

I have an appointment with the surgeon Dr. Yelle next week.  Just wondering what to expect. Is it  a good idea to take someone with me ie my spouse?  Will I have to buy OPti then even though I don't have a surgery date yet?  Any advice?  Is it okay to ask re timelines for surgery?  Thanks. 

I too have my surgeon appt next week. I know when they called me with the appt time the nurse told me that I will buy my optifast at this appt as well as get my surgery date.
