DS - on the fence

Hi All

I had my sleeve October 2014 and have lost about 90lbs so far.  I started at 370 lbs so I am still quite overweight.  I feel great though!  My surgeon had mentioned at the time of my surgery that if I didn't lose all desired weight through VSG then I can get the DS procedure.

I am just wondering how much more is lost with DS as a second step and if it is worth it to go through another surgery.

Anyone that has had DS, please let me know pros and cons you have encountered personally and percentage of weight loss with just the ds.

Unfortunately, you will receive very few (if any) responses to your question about the DS (whether it be a virgin DS or a two-step) on this Ontario forum, simply because so very few people currently here have revised their VSG to a DS, let alone have a virgin DS. To my knowledge, Dr. Hong is the only surgeon sometimes (very rarely) giving the option of revising a VSG and I believe he's the only surgeon qualified to even do it here in Ontario.

My best suggestion would be to post your question on the DS forum and the Revision forum. On the DS forum, hopefully you'll get a response from "larra", who is a huge wealth of knowledge and facts/stats.
