b-Jammin real fruit protein bar review

I saw these new protein bars at my local MYFitness Canada store while buying some p28 bread.  They are different, sort of like fig newtons with a jam filling.  I tried the vanilla cherry pie one first, this is what it looks like:

12 grams of net carbs, 12 grams of protein, 11-13 grams of fiber

The texture is completely different than any bar I have ever had, they are soft like a fid newton cookie. To me they did not taste like cherry pie but they did taste good, although extremely sweet.  I might buy them again if I am craving something sweet but want to stay reasonably on track.  Not sure where else sells them but the myfitness Canada stores do have them.  If you try them let me know what you think.  I also bought the pbj one, have not tried it yet.

I've seen them at GNC, just another cookie as far as I am concerned with some protein powder thrown in to make them look healthy.  I don't count net carbs so at 28 grams of carbs with 11 grams of sugar and only 12 grams of protein, I'd not be eating them.

It is not for everyone but I think as an occasional snack this is not bad, as long as the rest of your day stays low 12 net carbs is ok. it contains some quality ingredients like protein isolates, which I appreciate.  I do wi**** had more protein though, and was less sweet.  I am not a huge sweets fan.

Not a chance in hell I'd be eating those, Zizzler. Like Tracey, I don't count net carbs and with 29 grams carbohydrates and 12 grams sugar they are nothing more than a very high calorie cookie cleverly packaged as something "healthy".  When I was in my losing phase, I kept my carbs between 30-35 grams per day - that one bar would be it for the day. 12 grams of sugar is way over the 7 gram limit per meal that was on my plan.

Not sure if you noticed, but the description of them reads that they are intended as a replacement/rebuild after a hard-core workout. That doesn't sound like something the vast majority of us require.

I really wish companies would be more honest with their advertising. I also wish that people weren't so obsessed with finding "healthy" junk food - there is no such thing.

I would not even think of buying it. I would be sick with the level of sugar that is in it and 12 grams of protein is way to low. There is better things to put in your body than this.
