Nope it's an anti-inflammatory.  It's not an Nsaid but still has anti-inflammatory properties and most surgeons say no.  You may find the odd one that says yes but the majority say no.  Not sure what you want it for but there are lots of other options out there for almost everything that you could be wanting to take pepto for that are safe.

thank you! I didn't think it was but I really couldn't remember. .. seeing as I was feeling terrible and just wanted to sleep.

Why not take some gravol. I use that to sleep even if I am not feeling sick. Some take Benedryl to help them sleep as well.

I had company and bowel issues. so I'm certain gravel would not have weeks for that. and sleeping was not an option

Had you said five days ago it was bowel issues I wouldn't have said gravol. You said you were feeling sick and wanted to sleep. For bowel issues there are lots of things. For diarrhea, imodeum works well and for constipation you can take senokot-s or restoralax.
