What are you eating/doing today? (Saturday)

Oh I totally understand what you say.  I have several people who just go on and on every time they see me.  I really don't know what to say either so I just say "thank you" and if they ask me how I am I say "i feel great, thank you".  Honestly though it gets to be too much.  there is one guy on my bus who I swear I will punch in the face if he says "you look soooo good" one more time.  I think it is because it is a compliment but not a compliment at the same time.  Like, you look amazing, and before you did not.  Probably just in my head I think that, but it can feel like that at times.  Or people will say they are jealous of my weight loss, and I do not know what to say.  I don't want to tell most people about my surgery and it is none of their business.  Especially from some men, who look at me more now when before they rarely did, and I just want to punch them in the head you know?  I am a great person now and I was before and it is shocking how superficial people can be.  Lately I have been telling people about my extra skin, not sure what that is all about.  Maybe I am trying to reassure them that I am just like them, and not someone to be envied?  It is psychologically hard, that is for sure.

Good Morning all!

I am working 10 to 4 today.  Hubby came with me to work though to drop me off on his way to walk around Harbourfront so that was nice.

4.5 months post op (can finally add the .5 officially yay!)

Breakfast - 3/4 cup cottage cheese with a sprinkle of kosher salt and lots of black pepper

Snack - Tall non-fat decaf latte from Starbucks with a dash of stevia in it

Lunch - Half stuffed green pepper with 1/4 cup of pasta sauce added

Snack - 2 oz of blue cheese with 2 melba toast rounds

Dinner - not 100% sure yet but perhaps a sausage cut up with some hot mustard for dipping with a pickle on the side.

Goal today: 10 glasses of water - so far I have gotten 2 in but the day is young

After work I am going to get a present for my coworker's nephew's 2nd birthday and then I am going to treat myself to a pedicure.  Not sure what colour to get though.  Last time I had a pedicure I got blue.

What do you stuff your peppers with?  I would like to make some of those, I have not made them once since surgery.

I love picking the colour for a mani or pedi, it is my favourite part.  I really liked candy apple red with sparkles, but it depends what your mood is.  Deep purple is also really nice if you like that, or gold.  Let us know what you chose :0)  enjoy!

Hi Zizzler!  Hope you had a nice weekend!  I ended up getting a light purple called "The Grape Beyond" by OPI haha.  I've never tried gold but will do for next time - that's a great idea as it would look snazzy!

As for the stuffed peppers I used ground beef, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, skinned diced tomatoes and although the recipe calls for rice I use quinoa.  This is a good protein and a good carb with lots of fibre.  I use the President's Choice pasta sauce though and douse it in sauce - usually 1/4 cup for each 1/4 pepper.  I find it's very filling and one batch lasts me forever if my hubby doesn't get his hands on them - he can eat 2 at a time LOL.

Nia I find with beef and chicken in particular I can not eat very much at all too, other foods I can eat more.  How much can you eat of other foods?  I can easily eat a cup of most things now at 10 months out, sometimes even more, depending on what it is.  I wonder if that is normal?  Love liverwurst btw, great idea with the rinds.

I can eat 2oz of chicken, beef or pork, 1/4 cup of ground anything at one sitting, 3oz of seafood. Including sides 3/4 cup at once and once in a while i can eat up to a cup of food. If i understood properly from my NUT, we are to eventually eat like a normal sized person portion wise, no?
