That's ok Barb. I've had pain for about 1 1/2 yrs. It was only confirmed last december when they did an MRI and it got worse when i slipped and twisted it further in the store. PT hasn't really helped at all and just walking in the streets is really bad.

Sorry to hear about your miniscus, I know how painful it can be. I tore my miniscus about 3 years ago now.  Did pt and it did not help.  Then just waited it out painfully as I had rny planned, they said that would help and I has.  I still feel it with certain activities such as standing too long or running.  In my case they know I will need a knee replacement eventually as my cartilage is gone on the knee, but hopefully it has slowed things down for now.

Thanks Zizz. I really don't know what i should do tbh. Right now my knee hurts/aches everyday and is really unstable. On the other hand, surgery is surgery and there are always risks involved. It would be an easy decision for me if my knee would hurt once in a while. As of right now, the dr gave me celebrex for pain and i'm to take with pantoloc, but it's also a catch 22 as you know nsaids and rny don't go. I limit my intake to absolutely necessary because i've had ulcers in the past. I'll make my decision by Friday after i consult my mom but, ultimately i know i have to make my own decision.

That is tough, maybe make a list of pros and cons?  Let us know what you decide.
